Description

Sodium C14–16 Alpha Olefin Sulfonate (AOS-40 Liquid) is a high-performance anionic surfactant produced through the controlled sulfonation of alpha olefins using sulfur trioxide (SO₃) in a continuous manufacturing process. The intermediate sulphonic acid is carefully neutralized with sodium hydroxide, followed by stabilization with buffering agents to ensure product consistency and performance.

This ingredient is a synthetic surfactant widely used in personal care and cleansing formulations due to its excellent cleansing efficiency, strong foaming properties, and favorable biodegradability profile.
