Description

Thiazolyl (Thiamidol®) is a patented cosmetic active ingredient that is clinically and dermatologically proven to reduce visible pigment spots and help prevent their reappearance by directly targeting tyrosinase, the key enzyme in melanin production.

Mechanisim of action (Reason behind the ingredient)

Hyperpigmentation occurs when melanin is produced excessively in certain skin areas.
Tyrosinase, a copper-containing enzyme, catalyzes the conversion of tyrosine to melanin.
Thiamidol selectively inhibits tyrosinase, reducing excess melanin production at its root cause.

This results in a gradual fading of pigment spots and helps prevent recurrence, especially when combined with daily sun protection (SPF use is strongly recommended).

Formulation Guide

Recommended Usage: 0.1 – 0.5% (commonly effective at 0.2%) Effective and safe at low concentrations due to its high activity

Solubility: Soluble in alcohol-based solvents (ethanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol), partially soluble in some oils

Mixing Method: Cool down phase and not more than 40°C as Excessive heat may degrade the active
